Lush Lacquer Mr. Bubble

Sorry for the lack of posting, I've been a busy bee this past week. Today I have an awesome glitter from Lush Lacquer Mr. Bubble. Remember way back in the day when the only time baths were fun is when your parents let you use Mr. Bubble in the tub? This nail polish totally reminds me of how that bubble bath smelled...weird, sorry.
Mr. Bubble is a mixture of white, pink, and blue hex matte glitter in a clear base. There are big pieces and small pieces of each color and the color combo is gorgeous. The formula is pretty excellent, glitter coverage is good and didn't require too much effort to rearrange the glitter pieces. I layered it over Essie Bikini So Teeny and 1 coat of Out the Door topcoat.

French Mani NOTD

I get to go to an Aces hockey game tonight with the boyfriend's work family. It's going to be fun, though, so I decided to get my nails ready with an awesome manicure I've seen around the internet! I used Zoya Cho for the nude base and OPI Black Onyx for the black on the tips.

The index finger didn't turn out as well as I would have liked :( I unfortunately can't paint a straight line to save my life so I used self-adhesive reinforcement labels to make the tips somewhat straight. If you haven't bought reinforcement labels, do yourself a favor and go get some asap! They're perfect for nail art stenciling.

Zoya Cho is a good nude, it's a little yellow toned for my skin but it's the best one I've found so far. I hate how it takes 3 coats to get it to full opacity even with my nails being so short. I really need to get OPI Don't Pretzel My Buttons, it will probably work better with my skin tone.
Anyone have any good nude polish suggestions??

October Julep Maven Box!

I got my October Julep Maven box yesterday, hurray! If you've never heard about Julep Maven, definitely check it out here! It's $19.99 a month for 2 or 3 polishes and possibly a different Julep product. It's an awesome deal for really, really great products and polishes.
October's box included 2 polishes and a silver shatter top coat. It also included 2 small jars of glitter in orange and black AND an adorable little bag of candy corn. The boxes are always themed in the cutest way. It makes getting nail polish in the mail that much better :)
There is one polish I haven't swatched yet, Leslie is described on the Julep website as a black and silver specked shimmer. I'm super excited to wear it soon.

The first polish is Caroline, which the Julep website describes as a dark burgundy shimmer. That description is pretty accurate. It's a gorgeous vampy red, perfect for fall and winter. I used 2 coats without top coat.

The top coat, Glenda, is a metallic silver crackle. Although I'm not a huge fan of crackle top coats (this is actually the first one I've owned), I really like this one. This is one coat over Caroline.

You can buy Julep products on their website Julep.com, or at Sephora. Individual polishes are $14 a piece, another reason the Julep Maven program is fantastic.
